If you’re expecting a baby or already parenting while in college, you’ve probably wondered:
Can I actually live on campus with my baby?
The answer depends on the school. While most traditional college residence halls aren’t designed for student parents, there are programs that make it possible to continue your education without giving up campus life.

A Different Kind of College Housing
MiraVia’s College Residence was created specifically for pregnant and parenting college students who want to earn their degree while raising their child.
Located on the campus of Belmont Abbey College near Charlotte, North Carolina, our College Residence offers something that’s hard to find: a true college community built with student moms in mind.
Eligible residents receive this support free of charge:
- A private suite
- Childcare
- Meals
- Material assistance for mom and baby
- A supportive community of other student moms
Can You Attend Any College?
Yes. One thing many people don’t realize is that MiraVia welcomes eligible students who are already enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school anywhere in the United States. Whether your classes are online or in person, our goal is to help remove barriers so you can keep working toward graduation.
Why Housing Matters for Student Moms
Finding stable housing can be one of the biggest challenges after becoming pregnant or welcoming a baby during college.
When you have a safe place to live, reliable support, and a community that understands your journey, it’s easier to stay focused on your education and your future.
At MiraVia, we believe becoming a mom shouldn’t mean giving up your college dreams.
